CONCEPTUAL APPROACH
This cottage design is inspired by the sun and its beauty. With each rising sun comes a new day, and with each new day comes new opportunities. Each room has a specific and intentional relationship to the sun at different times of day.
Each bedroom has a balcony and floor to ceiling glazing to give the guests stunning views of the sunrise over Georgian Bay as they wake up. The kitchen also has views of the sunrise and plenty of natural light during the day. The living room is encased in glass with panoramic views for any time of day, whether it be the sunrise at dawn or the glowing sunset at dusk. There are large birch trees surrounding the house so that the residents have privacy from the neighbours and passersby, mimicking the feeling of isolation.
This is the perfect getaway for any couple looking to escape to the beautiful serenity of Georgian Bay.
